LITTLE BIT ABOUT OUR FAMILY
HOW WE STARTED TO BREED LEONBERGERS
Dogs and breeding dogs was somehow always part of my life. When I was young, we had St. Bernards Dog breeding station Od Svatojánských lesů at my parents place in Prague. At that time this breed was very special in Czechia and we caught a lot of attention when walking the dogs on the streets. At one point I stopped counting, how many times I was asked if my dog is wearing rum on his neck :) Later on, with my husband we had our first family dog - Ridgeback Cesar , whom we had before children and who was, in a way, our firstborn son. When he passed away, we were looking for a new dog that would not remind us of him and would fill the empty space left by him. In 2018, I received a tip about the great Leonberger breed and after a long search, we found a puppy at the Od Chuchelské dráhy kennel, where the dogs live in a beautiful environment in a large garden. After the first visit, it was clear that our children fell in love and it was impossible to tear ourselves away from the puppy. In April 2019, we took our furry friend Barča home :) Everything we were looking for came true in the Leonberger. We found a great friend and protector for us and the children. Thanks to our membership in the Leonberger Club and thanks to the great "family" - kennel Od Chuchelská dráhy, we participate in many great events in nature, at exhibitions or just meet the owners of other puppies for coffee or a beer. There is always something to talk about. Our Leons are simply a part of everything we do.

Our first Leonberger Barča and her first days in a new environment ( April 2019). The children moved to the floor on the carpet for the night because of her. Toys and ice cream are shared equally among everyone. They met the cat, played football, bathed and visited the office at work.
When we celebrate our first birthday on February 26, 2020, we already have a really big bear..:)
Trips and walks around the neighborhood and beyond are very popular activities...Barča sometimes likes to drive, but we usually don't let her :)...
We kept Abby from our first litter of puppies ( Litter A ), so now we have a team and even more fun :)
