Photogallery - birth

Photogallery - Day 3

We are already about half a kilo, we eat a lot, sleep and climb. We loudly slurp food and announce to each other that we are hungry by squealing. The same program is planned for the whole week. We will continuously publish progress. Deworming is planned for the 2nd, 4th and 6th weeks. The first vaccination will be at the beginning of June. The puppies will then be issued with Europass.

Photogallery - Day 4

The puppies are eating like crazy and are gaining weight. By the end of the week, they will probably be twice their birth weight. Even though Barča can  feed them with her mother's milk, today we will also start feeding them with special Bosch puppy milk suitable from day 1. This procedure is recommended when there are more puppies in the litter.

Photogallery - Day 5

The males are already between 600 and 700g, the females between 500 and 600g. They are starting to climb out of the box. I made an unsuccesfull attempt to take a photo of the whole group: ) The intention was to line up the puppies for the photo nicely next to each other with their heads forward, you can see the result for yourself:). Within a few seconds they were all gone or turned their backs. Since it was a beautiful day today, Barča at least enjoyed the garden for a while, when the puppies were sleeping.

Photogallery - Day 6

Photogallery - Day 7

It's unbelievable, but we've been in the world for a week now and we've managed it perfectly so far. Almost all of us have doubled our birth weight and are doing well. Even Barča seems quite optimistic despite her tiredness, she has resumed her old habits and in her free time she is chasing the cats around the garden and going to watch the gate. Next week we will have our first deworming..

Photogallery - Day 8

..some of us have already over a kilo..

More photos from our 2nd week of life...we've started eating so much that the whole family is now feeding us..the babies reward us for it by how beautifully they grow and make progress in their movements. Next week we will try feeding them porridge for the puppies and the following week we will gradually add more yummy treats, depending on how the puppies handle it...

Photogallery - Day 14

The dogs have made great progress in the past few days. They are no longer just crawling, but are standing on all fours, trying to walk and playing around together. We first noticed it with the purple one and soon everyone could do it. All the puppies can now see and are interested in everything :)...

Photogallery - we are start our 3rd week

It was sunny today, so we went in the garden for a while. But then it started to blow, so we moved back home so that we wouldn't get cold. In addition to Barč's milk, we are adding puppy porridge and minced chicken to the diet. This is a great success. We are so excited about the food that we would like to bathe ourselves in it and we love to pat our siblings' heads and the whole playpen with our paws, which then requires general cleaning ... and that repeatedly during the day ... Most importantly, we are having fun and we are still getting bigger and stronger ... :)

We have a new lesson from today. With half a kilo of ground beef, Cannina instant porridge for puppies tastes much better :)

On Thursday we celebrated our 3rd week of age. The scale showed an average of around 2.5 kilos. We go out to the garden, some of us play there, some fight, some are with mum, some sleep, some snuggle up to their brother or sister and some sulk in the litter box.
We got a lot of toys from daddy Gerry, but mum keeps taking them from us. We can't stay upset for long, we fall asleep right away...

We've been in the world for 4 weeks now, we're great guys!

The whole garden is our territory and the pace is crazy:) Sometimes we still chase the milk bar - our mother - around the garden, but otherwise we eat meat, vegetables, dairy products and porridge ourselves most of the day. We all weigh around 4kg on average. When it's hot, we prefer to sleep under the sun beds.

Our 5th week

We start going wild before 6 am and end around 9 pm, when they uncompromisingly take us home to sleep. We occupy the sun beds, it's our bunker now.  In addition to toys, we are also interested in gardening and shoes...

Progress of week 5: the gang now controls the entire garden. We have definitely lost the sunbeds, they have become a puppy fort. However, anyone who wants to lie down directly on the ground would make a mistake...:)

The puppies will be able to play football ..

Week 6 :

We bravely discovering more remote corners of the garden, where we find many interesting things that no one had any idea about. We also enjoy games, the girls can even dare to challenge the boys. We chase the owner and the 18-year-old cat around the garden, they didn't understand that we are in control here :)

The puppies are vaccinated. They will receive their next dose with their new owners in the 9th-10th week. They are microchipped, the chips will be registered in the international database by the new owners, I will explain the instructions during hand overing. If a dog gets lost, whether at home or on vacation abroad, this chip will help them find it. Each puppy has its own Europass with all the vaccination and deworming information, which allows you to travel abroad with the animal. The only thing that is still missing is the names..:) We would be happy for your tips...! The official name must start with A, the pet name can be any...

Week 7 : Club Control of the litter

Today, on the 48th day of the puppies' life, the litter was successfully inspected and accepted by the main breeding advisor. All puppies received an excellent rating, they have a scissor bite, dark or medium brown eyes and a golden color. Therefore, our babies are available for hand over from the 50th day. It has been incredibly fast and there has been no time to take a break and realize how incredibly lucky we were to have these great babies. All that remains is to thank the Club - especially Mrs. Pavlovská for her advice and help with the whole process, her advice was worth its weight in gold. Many thanks also to the Rychtařík family, without their Gerry we would not have had these puppies. We were in contact almost every day and it was great moral support. And also to the Kozák family in Chuchle, where our Barča comes from. They were always happy to help and advise, it is our dog family. Hopefully we will keep this good tradition and create the same dog family with the new owners of our dogs! :)

Good morning everyone, we are awake already and full of energy :))

Week 8

The visits are in full swing and some of the dogs are already leaving for their new homes. I am very happy that they were chosen by people with a good heart, who love the Leonberger breed and have suitable conditions for pets. We spent several months getting to know each other, many interested parties came to visit Barča when she was pregnant, we wrote, called and exchanged photos basically from the moment of mating. For new interested parties, I must emphasize that this process cannot be shortened or even skipped completely. Without knowing the interested party and the family in which the puppy will live, I can never promise anyone 100%, let alone prepare him for departure on your first visit to us. And this is not even if the person in question is traveling from a long distance.  We need to be sure that our babies will be happy and that we will be able to see them occasionally at club events and follow their life path. We are not a breeding farm and we do not sell dogs to complete strangers, we choose new owners carefully. Thank you for your understanding, I hope that this way we can avoid mutual frustrations. I recommend that everyone first checks out the club website, where our main advisor describes the process of buying a puppy very well.

Photogallery week 8

Today's tip is from Gerry and Archie (the orange dog). If you want your puppies to be engineers for sure, buy them this dog toy from Pepco, it's called an intelligence test :) It turned out that we have a lot of engineers in the litter :)

There are only 6 of us here and every day someone from the group leaves to join a new family, but our spirits are mood is still good and it is still lively here...

There are only 4 of us here now. We swim, bite the remains of a soccer goal, sometimes we walk around with a flower pot or a plastic chair on our heads. When we don't know what to do anymore, we go to the children to help us come up with a new crazy activity...
Last family photo with all our darlings...
In the last week of June, the last puppies went to their new families, where they seem to be doing very well so far. We kept the little mischievous Abby from the litter and are looking forward to the holidays with the girls. All leon friends, we wish you a wonderful summer, lots of fun and see you at the PP handover or at the latest at the meeting on 9.9.!
A puppy that has a bucket or decorative candle holder stuck on its head usually eats much less than a puppy that doesn't have any bucket on its head....Don't hesitate to contact us anytime, even during the summer, for any breeder advice! :) Greetings to all :)
